Charlotte Covey

Charlotte grew up in St. Mary's County, Maryland, among an insane amount of cornfields and just one Starbucks. She is a recent graduate of Salisbury University, from which she holds bachelor's degrees in Psychology and English with a Concentration in Creative Writing. She is currently a candidate for an MFA in Poetry at the University of Missouri -St. Louis. Charlotte just turned twenty-two, and she's feeling it.

Charlotte's work is published or forthcoming in CALYX Journal, The Normal School, Salamander Magazine, the minnesota review, Permafrost, Slipstream, The Boiler Journal, Bluestem, The MacGuffin, SLAB, Cherry Tree, Cider Press Review, The Summerset Review, Glassworks, Hawaii Pacific Review, The Monarch Review, Cactus Heart, New Mexico Review, Polaris, 30 N, The Mochila Review, Red Earth Review, and Route 7 Review. In 2015, she was nominated for an AWP Intro Journal Award. Charlotte is currently an assistant editor for Natural Bridge Literary Journal, and she was Editor-in-Chief of Salisbury University's in-house journal, The Scarab. 

 

 

Charlotte's favorite type of milk is 2%, and she drinks it with every meal.
